But the violence escalates, affecting all of them, and only Mulder, Scully and an old acquaintance can bring the killings to an end.

Letting Go - 88K - Rated R - by Joann Humby
SUMMARY: Unlikely as it might sound this a X-Files / Dirty Harry crossover. My excuse for this was I wanted Mulder to have to work with a nice/honest/talented/straightforward cop. Then I watched a Dirty Harry film straight after an X-Files episode and the rest happened by accident.

 Lie - 6K - by mulderache
SUMMARY: When I saw the spoiler picture of Mulder lying on the rug I could not help notice that he was very still. He did not raise his arms and he moved very little as the creature approached. Two scenarios could be at play here. First, he is expecting the creature and he will lie still and allow the creature to do what it does, which evidently is eat him and puke him up. Well, that sounds gross.
Second it could be that Mulder is unable to move. He is too ill to move. The thing which is killing him may have progressed to the point of him being unable to move his arms or legs, like a stroke, especially if this thing was effecting his brain, ( AMOR FATI). The creature senses this and came to save Mulder as payment for MULDER saving him from the person trying to kill him ( THE SCENE WHERE MULDER SHOOTS THE TRANSIENT). My story is based on the second ideation.

Lies and More Lies - 104K - Rated PG-13 - by Vickie Moseley
SUMMARY: Have you ever read a spoiler and just knew you could do a better job? This is a 'pre-episode/post-episode' piece. I have rewritten the season finale (or should I say 'prewritten' since I haven't seen it yet ;), tying up as many loose ends and staying as consistent as I could to what has come up during the sixth season.
